Mohawk Bend screens ‘5 Second Films’ on three seperate nights

April 10, 17, 24 in Echo Park

Mohawk Bend in Echo Park is hosting a film festival on April 10, 17, and 24, featuring three one-hour segments of 5 Second Films – vignettes highlighting comic, and often inappropriate, moments in life. The commemorative “5-Second Filmmaker” drink  consisting of Cismontane’s Blacks Dawn coffee stout and Fog’s End Monterey Rye ($10) will be available while you watch the movies. Mohawk Bend to feature Anchor Brewing and Firestone Brewing for pint night, Wirtshaus launches ‘Stein Club’

Mohawk Bend in Echo Park will be hosting two separate pint nights starting at 5 PM on March 14 and 26. On March 14, Mohawk Bend with Paso Robles’ Firestone Walker Brewing Co. will feature a flight of four beers including their rare brew, barrel-aged, Velvet Merkin for $13 for pint night. On March 26, S.F.’s Anchor Brewing will be pouring a flight of four beers as well, including Anchor’s new Zymaster Series #1, a California lager for $10. 2141 W. German restaurant, Wirtshaus on La Brea in L.A. is kicking off a “Stein Club” starting on March 15. To join the club, guests must drink at least one pint of each draft beer offered within three months. Only 25 members will be accepted initially, members will receive a t-shirt, membership card, one free stein of beer per month and a personalized stein with an engraved nameplate hung above the bar. 345 N. Four Points Sheraton by LAX is hosting “A Christmas Carol Beer Dinner at The Beer Hotel,” with Mark Ruedrich and Doug Moody of North Coast Brewing and Larry James of Wine Warehouse on Friday, December 9 at 6:30 PM. The menu will feature these pairings: Oysters and Le Merle Belgian Style Farmhouse Ale; Lamb Pie and Red Seal Ale; Goose with Apple Sauce, Potatoes, Stuffing, Gravy and Brother Thelonious Belgian Style Abby Ale; and Plum Pudding and Old Stock Cellar Reserve 2009. Mohawk Bend in Echo Park started their lunch service at 12 PM from Monday to Friday and brunch starting at 9:30 AM on Saturday and Sunday. Starting November 14, every Monday after 5 PM, Mohawk Bend in Echo Park is featuring $15 (not including drinks/tax/tip) unlimited pizza in their Ramona Room. Vegan pies included.
