Barlo Kitchen + Cocktail now open, Mezze launching dinner service on Sun. and more!

Barlo Kitchen + Cocktail at the Erwin Hotel in Venice Beach is now open for breakfast and dinner.

Ventura County Winery Association is having their month-long “Harvest Passport” event. The “passport” works like a punch card and passport holders will get to sample 5-wine flights at six different wineries during November. Each “passport” cost $35 and will receive 10% off their wine purchase for that day.

Mezze in West Hollywood is launching dinner service on Sundays.

Taberna Mexicana in Beverly Hills is offering $3 dollar beer, wine and margaritas, happy hour specials from Monday 3 PM until the football game ends, Tuesday through Saturday from 3 PM – 8 PM and all day Sunday.

SOL Mexican Cocina in Newport Beach is offering half-off bottles of wine every Monday from 4:30 PM to close with any food purchase throughout November.

Meeting of the culinary masterminds – Lexus Grand Tasting at the Los Angeles Food and Wine Festival

The First Annual Los Angeles Food and Wine Festival kicked off with a bang on Wednesday, October 12 and continued until October 16 all over Los Angeles. The Lexus Grand Tasting Event at L.A. Live, spanning 2 days, was no exception to the excitement. Star studded with celebrity chefs, over 300 wines, and the Lexus Tasting Lab, patrons of the event found themselves at the height of decadence and luxury with an all you can drink and eat feast from some of the nations top chefs and wineries. Deconstructed LA: introducing Firestone Walker Brewing Co.’s newest anniversary beer with Matt Brynildson & Sean Z. Paxton

Paso Robles, CA’s Firestone Walker Brewing Co. debuted their latest anniversary beer, XV, on October 12th. To kick off the brew, an eight course pairing held at the Avalon’s Bardot Room in Hollywood was conceived by “Homebrew ChefSean Z. Paxton with the theme of deconstruction. The intent was to take the eight beers that comprise Matt Brynildson’s blend, XV, and pair them with foods to bring out their intricacies. Ultimately, the goal was to better understand and appreciate the anniversary beer that will be available for purchase at their brewery on November 5, and to Firestone Walker vendors shortly after.
