Dripp coffee shop announces opening

Dripp, a new boutique coffee bar is opening in Chino Hills later this month. Coffees from a slow drip bar will be complimented with ice cream sandwiches. The coffee selection comes from around the world and they grind all their beans fresh, manually pull all shots, handcraft every espresso drink, and hand drip to order every cup of coffee.

Ten vegan bakers competing for the title of 'best vegan cupcake' in L.A.

The ladies behind Urban Food Crawl, a weekly vegan food tour of downtown L.A., are back with another vegan-friendly event called “Cupcake + Art“, a vegan cupcake competition where you get to be the judge. The event plans to feature ten bakers from the Los Angeles area competing for the title of the best vegan cupcake around town. The participating bakers include Food Network’s Cupcake Wars’ Kim Aeck and Kim Thurman of Bake You Happy, Clara Polito of Clara’s Cakes, and more. ColLAboration, L.A.’s popular pop-up craft beer garden is back with a “ColLAboration Winter Wonderland Craft Beer Garden” event on Saturday December 3 from 12 PM – 5 PM. The event will will be held at the newly opened Golden Road Brewing in Atwater Village. $15 for membership glass, beer tokens and food from local eateries available for purchase.

The Hollywood Report reports Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi is set to open an animal-product free restaurant with menu by chef Tal Ronnen, somewhere on Ventura Blvd. in the Valley.

Tony’s Darts Away in Burbank will offer brunch at 10 AM with breakfast items starting October 29 at their newly opened 14-seat patio. Breakfast items will be available until supplies run out.

Umami Burger plans to open up two new locations in Hermosa Beach and Laguna Beach by the end of 2011.
