St. Patrick’s Day Round Up

Green beer anyone?

With little in the Los Angeles River to dye green, Angelinos will have to find another way to express their zeal for the upcoming St. Patrick’s Day, Sunday March 17th. Yeah, yeah, we know. You already had plans: getting trashed and binging on corned beef and soda bread. Old habits die hard. The gift of blarney not withstanding, there is plenty worth talking about as far as St. patty’s day festivities around Los Angeles.

For the St. Patrick’s day with an authentic flare: Chef Casey Lane of Downtown LA’s The Parish, is offering up a traditional meal of Bangers and Mash. For those of you who may summon up images of door knockers and a show about the army upon hearing the term, let me explain: Sausage and mashed potatoes. The full menu includes:

If you start celebrating early on St. Patty’s, Public Kitchen and Bar located in the Roosevelt Hotel in Hollywood, CA is offering:

Sunday Brunch, offered from 11am-3pm, which includes signature (green) dishes like the Kale Salad, with currants, pine nuts, pancetta breadcrumbs, and garlic dressing, as well as classic items like Lemon and Ricotta pancakes with Vermont maple syrup; Shrimp & Grits with a sunny egg, piquilla, feta, and cilantro; and Short Rib Hash with bacon, truffle butter, and Brussels sprouts for $29 per person (only buffet) or $42 per person (brunch experience.)
