Genji Sushi hosts Sushi 101 for kids at Whole Foods Market

Genji Sushi, authentic, sustainable and high-quality sushi and Japanese cuisine, is joining Whole Foods Market cross country and to celebrate, Genji is hosting a series of Sushi 101 courses for kids. On Saturday, April 28th, from 12pm – 2pm, Genji Sushi will teach its first class at the Redondo Beach Whole Foods Market speaking to the honored tradition of sushi, its history, its place in Japanese cuisine, while teaching a variety of rolls, ingredients and techniques. 2nd annual Taste of the Eastside

Join the Taste of the Eastside on Sunday, May 6th from 12PM – 5PM returning to Los Feliz for a 2nd year to honor the diverse culinary scene of eastside neighborhoods Silver Lake, Echo Park, Atwater, Los Feliz, Eagle Rock, and Highland Park. Wilshire Restaurant in Santa Monica is hosting a backyard pig roast ($55) to benefit Share our Strength’s Taste of the Nation on April 22 from 12 -4 PM. Chefs Nyesha Arrington of Wilshire and Chris Crary of Whist will prepare a whole pig including pulled pork, pork belly, spare ribs, and pig ears. Beer Belly in Los Angeles’ Koreatown may be best known for serving up craft beers curated by owner Jimmy Han, but the man behind the food has also been winning accolades and recommendations from patrons and food critics alike. Chef Wes Lieberher, hailing from Philadelphia, became an essential part of Beer Belly just a week before it opened. “I came in here during his [Jimmy Han] soft opening and he was in the kitchen rolling meat balls.
