Food GPS presents the Lamb Showdown: Pollack & Samson versus Manzke

On Monday, February 20 at 7:30 PM, three Los Angeles chefs will compete for $500 at Food GPS’ Lamb Showdown, host at Guelaguetza Restaurant in L.A.’s Koreatown. République’s Walter Manzke will battle it out with Sotto’s chef Zach Pollack and chef Steve Samson. Attendees will decide the winner(s) at the end of this six-course meal featuring American lamb – a showcase of the less mainstream meat. Bruery beers’ bromance with Mezze’s Mediterranean cuisine

On Wednesday, February 22 at 7 PM, Ben Weiss of The Bruery and Chef Micah Wexler of Mediterranean restaurant, Mezze, team up to host “Fe-Bruery Feast”, an evening of beer and food. Ben will guide a tasting of four limited edition beers alongside a four-course pairing menu created by Micah. 50 tickets will be sold at $85. Little Bear to start lunch service today

It’s been a month since Belgian restaurant and bar Little Bear, in downtown L.A., opened its doors. Today, they’ll kick off a daily lunch service from 11 AM to 5 PM. Expect a reduced dinner menu with a few more salads and sandwiches. The lunch menu includes: Seared Duck Breast Salad (ginger honey glazed duck breast, arugula, frisée, apples, roasted shallots, crispy duck skin, ginger mustard vinaigrette); Oyster Po Boy (French roll with butter lettuce, tomatoes, pickled red onions, tarter sauce, avocado); and Crispy Fish Sandwich (beer batter cod, butter lettuce, watermelon radishes, tarter sauce, on ciabatta bread).
